Taoist Physical Spiritual Warrior Energy Practice

Tai Chi

In essence, Tai Chi or Taiji refers to all movement in the universe, to the interplay of the myriad energies arising from Yin and Yang. The Lee Family Square Yard and Fei Shou (Flying Hands) forms can improve circulation, relieve tension and reduce stress throughout the body. They are tools for creating a healthier, happier life.

Tao Wisdom

This is the art of not fighting. Classes are non-competitive and aim to develop virtue alongside external and internal power. The sets and the various related partner exercises predate most of the arts taught in modern China. They embody principles relating to nature, representing thousands of years of accumulated Taoist knowledge.

Qi Gong

In Chinese, Qi refers both to the natural energy of the body and the energy that permeates all things in the universe. Gong means to work hard, specifically to develop a skill over a period of time. In terms of the course, this means you will sweat—and ache—but also that your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energies will benefit.

About the Teacher

Hi! I'm Billy.

I’ve been studying the Lee Family Taoist arts for over a decade, and my passion continues to grow daily. These arts have transformed my life in every way imaginable. I have taught at venues and institutions across Leeds, where we have just opened Sea Cloud Hall, a Centre of Excellence for the Taoist arts! I started the class in Wakefield in 2025 to strengthen and empower young adults, both physically and mentally, and help them learn about a natural way of being.
