Tai Chi

Lee Family Tai Chi is a timeless Taoist art that combines movement, breath, and awareness into a practice of effortless flow.  It is more than exercise: it is a path to self-understanding and harmony. Its graceful sequences cultivate inner energy, enhance flexibility, and strengthen body and mind. Guided by the principles of Yin and Yang, Tai Chi shows us how to move with softness and intention, developing a quality of flow that extends far beyond the training hall.

Qigong

Qigong, often translated as “life-force cultivation,” is one of the oldest Taoist practices and a cornerstone of the Lee Family Arts. Where Tai Chi takes the form of long, flowing sequences, Qigong works with simpler patterns that emphasise breath, posture, and awareness. By opening the body’s meridians and guiding the flow of chi, Qigong restores vitality, reduces stress, and promotes physical and emotional balance.

Each movement is designed to feel natural and unforced, making the practice accessible to all ages and levels of experience. With regular practice, you may notice better posture, improved circulation, and a growing sense of clarity and calm. Taoist Qigong is not only restorative but also deeply meditative—a way of stepping back from the busyness of life to reconnect with your own centre.

Qigong

Whether you are a beginner or already familiar with energy practices, Lee Family Qigong provides a rich, dynamic approach rooted in Taoist tradition. Through breathwork, mindful movement, and stillness, it offers tools to cultivate vitality and to live with greater ease and balance.

Kung Fu – Feng Shou, the “Hand of the Wind”

Lee Family Kung Fu, known as Feng Shou or the “Hand of the Wind,” is a Taoist martial art that combines fluid, circular techniques with practical self-defence. Rather than relying on force, it develops sensitivity, timing, and adaptability, teaching practitioners how to redirect energy and respond with precision.

The name reflects its qualities: adaptable, swift, and flowing. Feng Shou sharpens awareness and cultivates inner energy (Qi), allowing movements to be both graceful and powerful. This makes it suitable for people of all ages and abilities, offering benefits that extend well beyond martial application.

Rooted in Taoist principles of yin and yang, Feng Shou fosters balance and resilience in the face of challenges. It strengthens the body, focuses the mind, and nurtures the spirit, while also enhancing flexibility, coordination, and overall vitality.

With regular practice, Feng Shou becomes more than a martial art—it becomes a way of living with poise, confidence, and harmony.

Our Taoist traditions offers something for everyone. Beginners enjoy accessible, energising movements, while experienced students explore deeper layers of practice. Whether your aim is better health, stress relief, or a path to inner harmony, Lee Family Arts provide a holistic way to grow.
